¡Bienvenidos
a la clase de español!
This year we
will continue to reinforce vocabulary, greetings, common
phrases, grammar, and culture. The students will build
the confidence to read, write, and have more conversations
at their appropriate levels through various activities.
The 8th
graders will be reading an adventure story, La Gran Aventura
de Alejandro which beautifully depicts Spanish history and
culture through the eyes of its main character, a thirteen
year old named Alejandro Toledo. Students will become
familiar with everyday Spanish with the dialogs among
Alejandro, his siblings and parents, and the people they
meet.
Learning a
language is not easy. It requires a combination of
hard work and a desire to try something new. At the
end of the year you will be surprise at the results.
Students
will be required to have:
- Respect
and Discipline
- Notebook
(it will be checked periodically)
- Pen
- Spanish/English
dictionary
- Completed
all homework assignments on time
- Review
for monthly quizzes (2 per month)
Students are
responsible for all missed work. Please ask them to
pick up lessons and homework when they return to school and
not a week later.
Students are
encouraged to visit a useful website www.pasoapaso.com
for extra activities.
If there any
questions and/or concerns please feel free to contact me.
¡Gracias!
