¡Bienvenidos!
Learning a
new language is the first step toward increasing our
awareness of the world. We no longer can afford to be
ignorant of the languages and cultures of other people,
therefore St. Joseph School is offering students in Grades
6-8 Español.
After
completion of this year, the 6th graders will have a better
understanding of the Spanish language. From learning
the basic vocabulary (numbers, months of the year, colors,
etc.) to greetings, common phrases, directions, questions,
grammar, and culture, our students will build the confidence
to read, write, and have conversations in their new language
at the appropriate level.
Learning a
new language is not easy. It requires a combination of
hard work and dedication, so let's make it a fun and
enriching experience for us all. You'll be surprise at
the results!
Students
will be required to have:
- Respect
and Discipline
- Notebook
(it will be checked periodically)
- Pen
- Spanish/English
dictionary
- Completed
all homework assignments on time
- Review for
monthly quizzes (2 per month)
Students are
responsible for all missed work. Please ask them to
pick up lessons and homework when they return to school and
not a week later.
Students are
encouraged to visit a useful website www.pasoapaso.com
for extra activities.
If there any
questions and/or concerns please feel free to contact me.
¡Gracias!
