Homework

• Work is due date assigned.

• All work is to be done in cursive.

• Complete heading on loose-leaf

• Other papers:  name, date, number

Grading Policy

• 1/2 point off for

  • Missing capitalization or punctuation

  • Spelling when copying

  • Spelling on words should know

• NB:  1/2 point rounds up.  2 1/2 rounds to 3

• 1 point off for

  • omissions in the heading

• 5 points off for

  • Not using script

  • Using pen for math

• 10 points off for

  • Late assignments

• Points will be deducted for not following written and/or oral directions (maximum 10 points).

• Unfinished classwork becomes homework and is to be returned the next day.  It will be considered late.  Assignments not returned the next day (unless if absent) will receive a zero.

• Third missed homework results in an after-school detention.  (if a child is absent and had the assignment, it is due on the day he/she returns.)

• Homework grade is based on the number of assignments given.
