CURRICULUM
There are many exciting activities and lessons planned for the 2005-2006 school year.

Younger children will participate in singing, listening, and creating movement in the music classroom.  

Third graders will learn how to read music and play precorder.

Middle grades will be focusing on singing and reinforcing musical skills learned in the past, as well as learning to appreciate music of many cultures.

Upper grades will learn what makes music, how people can connect through music, and why it is an important part of their education.

Grades 6, 7 and 8 will be attending a New Jersey Symphony Orchestra concert in October

SHOWS
As always, the students in Grades K-5 will be preparing our annual Christmas show.

GRADING
Music grades will be based on class participation, quizzes in the upper grades, and special projects throughout the year.
